The shoe and garment manufacturing industrial clusters in Aba have officially crossed a historic $10 million milestone in direct export shipments over the past quarter, according to the Southeast Chamber of Commerce.
Speaking live during the 'Ariaria Business Hour' on Enyimba 94.3 FM with reporters Amarachi Akpa and Kingsley Chibuike, representatives from the Leather Products Manufacturers Association revealed that recent investments in automated machinery and digital logistics have cut delivery times by 40 percent.
Local financial institutions and fintech partners have also announced a revolving micro-credit guarantee scheme to assist young apprentices setting up independent workshops.
